To assist the GM advisory team in any ad-hoc control related tasks and take a lead on supporting ALMT business in APAC
Direct Responsibilities (A) Advisory 1. Assist in advising the ALMT business on compliance and regulatory issues. These include, for example,: i. providing compliance comments for new activities (termed NACs/TACs) and IAC ii. providing compliance advice on all front office ad hoc and BAU business requests iii. specifically providing support and advise business from a local regulatory and internal policy perspective;
(B) Policy and Controls 2. Help the GM advisory team to review and re-issue some of the local polices / SG Instruction notes owned by the GM compliance team 3. Help the GM advisory team in conducting agreed controls to meet local regulatory requirements in SEA and perform any ad-hoc controls where the GM Compliance would envisage any developing regulatory / Compliance risks
(C) Domain work 4. Support in Financial Security domain work of the GM business such as review of the KYC / AML, Sanctions Policy and laying down the process around Third Party Payments. 5. Implementation of the II, AI and EI regime in Singapore 6. Evaluate the impact of MAS consultation papers and co-ordinate feedback from the GM business
(D) Compliance Training 7. Conduct compliance training targeted ALMT staff
(F) Others 8. Assist in the production of periodic MIS and KPIs as directed 9. Assist in the review of marketing materials/ term sheets for Global Markets products in and outside Singapore; 10. Work as a back-up for other members of the GM Advisory team, when required 11. Ad hoc requests such as participation in specific projects, as directed from time to time by the Head of GM Compliance SEA
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Technical At minimum a graduate with prior working experience of at least 3 years in a similar compliance function at a comparable bank set-up. Should have explore to dealing with treasury products and a regulatory cum risk bent of mindset. Exposure to AML / KYC aspects would be an added advantage.
Behavioral Should be a self-starter, motivated and a good communicator given the role involves working with various different stakeholders and colleagues within Compliance
