Summary The Private Banking and Investment Group (PBIG), International and Institutional is a division of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management that offers a broad array of personalized wealth management products and services. This group provides tailored solutions to meet the sophisticated needs of ultra-high net worth individuals.
The PBIG, International and Institutional business currently includes 8 hubs over 525 dedicated PBIG and International Advisors and their support teams. The business also provides additional support and services for advisors with a heavy concentration of Private or International clients, comprising over 1100 advisors. While direct Institutional impact is embedded through the US Wealth Management markets, PBIG and International businesses annualize over $1.6B in revenue and over $320B in assets and liabilities.
The Sales Performance Manager will report to the Head of Business Development and Relationship Management and will provide support across all 3 segments.
Operationalize and implement tactical plans to drive new client opportunities and referral streams
Deploy the business development strategy to help improve the visibility and understanding of PBIG among referral partners; set up regional symposiums across the 7 hubs
Analyze sales performance and net flows metrics to determine areas of need and follow-up with targeted solutions
Provide sales support for the International segment including advisor accreditation, monthly call delivery, client event support and third party trust referral program
Provide support to regional field leaders on Private Wealth Advisor and International Financial Advisor retention and recruiting; streamline, problem solve and enhance the referral process and related tracking
Serve as proxy for Head of PBIG, International and Institutional on the Client Escalation Working Group
Provide project management support to the Institutional team for the Global Institutional Consulting work group and RPWS integration
Evaluate effectiveness of sales activities through participation in client team meetings, planning sessions and calling activities
Provide support and tools to advisors to increase effectiveness and efficiency that will help drive revenue growth
Assess skills, knowledge, and capabilities gaps identified through analysis; leverage the learning partners to identify and deliver the right development solutions Qualifications
Robust knowledge and experience in the ultra-high net worth wealth management business including the clients, competitors, products, economics, regulations, policies, etc.
Deep understanding of the broader enterprise and PBIG organization
Ability to translate strategy into pragmatic tactics that drive business
Ability to identify trends and gaps, formulate and recommend viable solutions
Excellent analytical skills and financial acumen
Strong project management and execution skills; drive to get work done
Well-developed business acumen, sound judgment and problem solving skills
Ability to launch, manage and complete complex and large projects, skillfully influencing and guiding teams to achieve results
Confident and effective communicator (both oral and written)
