Perform analysis to support investigations and discovery phases of pipeline projects, feeding into the construction of business cases and delivery plans.
Build an understanding of the business problem and identify solutions aimed at delivering value to the business quickly (minimum viable product), with iterations to follow.
Gather and refine requirements through running stakeholder interviews and workshops, with analysis of documentation to provide supplementary detail.
Robustly challenge stakeholders to retain discipline on scope and maintain focus on delivering value .
Understand existing systems architecture business processes and data usage working with business SMEs across Distribution, Front Office, Technology, Operations and Data Management Ability to dive into detail around business requirements and process, whilst equally summarising key themes enabling communication to various levels in the organisation (senior stakeholders, business users and technical teams).
Engage various teams across the business to define business solutions and determine implications of possible data and technology operating model options.
Adopt a flexible approach to business analysis working with both waterfall and agile project methodologies. Link technical delivery requirements to business process change and back to business value / benefit.
What we are looking for:
You will be a self-starter with previous experience of working on projects in all phases (investigations / feasibility and delivery). It is essential for you to have the ability to challenge business users in order to capture future state requirements. Experience of defining and agreeing the analysis approach on projects is key for this role, as is strong problem solving skills. You will have excellent attention to detail and determination to see initiatives through to completion. It's highly important for you to be proactive and delivery focussed with excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. The ability to present information clearly and succinctly at varying levels of detail, is also needed. You will have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships within the team and across the business. You will also be capable of facilitating medium to large sized workshops and meetings with stakeholders. Excellent organisational skills are a must, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables reacting positively under pressure to meet tight deadlines. It would also be highly beneficial for you to have a genuine interest in expanding their knowledge and understanding of the challenges and developments impacting distribution & technology capabilities in the Asset Management industry.
Any of the following qualifications would be useful for you to have: Investment Management Certificate, Investment Administration Qualification, or any equivalent certificates.
You will have extensive experience of operations and distribution processes within a UK asset management experience. It is also required for you to have strong process and operating model knowledge including re-engineering and control model solutions. As well as this, detailed product and fund master understanding is essential. You will have proven ability to be able to communicate and operate within a team both with in business and technology areas.
