This position will act as a centralized resource for a team of event managers focused on event logistics and communications support. The individual will support various logistical aspects of events within our portfolio including speaker management, venue sourcing, contracts, decor, AV, signage and promotional materials. This role will have a particular focus on communications and writing - spearheading the invitation process and communications cycle for a wide range of events and having responsibility over the team's event management software. He or she will have responsibility working with their direct manager on developing event messaging and creating content for all appropriate communications vehicles within their responsibility - including executive remarks, social media and collaboration tools, save the dates and invitations. This individual will interact with employees at all levels within our firm, vendors and suppliers, venue representatives and other professional contacts. The person should possess a communications background and familiarity with internal and external outreach. Additional critical skills include excellent attention to detail, sound judgment and decision making, ability to work under pressure, adaptive personality/work style, strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to schedule and meet deadlines is critical as the position is exceptionally deadline sensitive based on the heavy emphasis on planning required. Occasional travel related to being onsite at events will be required (10-15%).
