Maldon Partners are recruiting a Credit Director for a well-known International Bank based in London which primarily focuses on Private Banking, Treasury and Wholesale Banking
The role requires a candidate who has worked in a Credit role within a Private Bank at Managerial level as the role holder will have 3 direct reports.
Previous experience of Real Estate Lending is also required.
The purpose of the Credit Director is to manage the Credit Team at the Bank and to work alongside the front office in ensuring that client objectives are met and that regulatory standards are followed.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Ensure all reviews and renewals are managed efficiently
Successfully process applications originated by the Private Banking team.
Senior adviser to RM's on credit application to facilitate approval of credit facility
Assessing credit applications and credit risk in accordance with the Private Banking credit policy
Assist the Relationship Managers to develop and retain client relationships while contributing actively to the business development and financial goals of the branch
Assisting with and oversight of the preparation of Facility Applications, credit reviews, preparation of loan documentation and negotiation of credit terms
Assist the Head of Private Banking with credit responsibilities including reviewing Excess Reports
Assist in preparing necessary reports for the Branch Risk Committee
Developing the real estate lending process for the London Branch and maintaining the loan book in good order
Developing, training staff and handling performance related issues Head of Unit and Human Resources
In order to apply for the role you MUST have:
Worked in a credit role within a private banking environment with responsibility for credit risk assessments.
A strong understanding of development finance.
Extensive knowledge of the UK property lending market and the ability to develop the London branch real estate lending program Front end web development experience.
Expertise in Real Estate Credit (Residential (regulated and unregulated), Commercial, Prime Central London and development finance) and on Investment Facilities (Lombard Facilities, secured on shares and other bonds and marketable securities.
Culturally aware of Middle Eastern and UAE Markets.
Previous Team Management experience
Excellent knowledge of MS Office skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
The Credit Director role has a base salary of c£75,000 with an excellent benefits package and bonus.
