European Counterparty Manager Product Lead and Regional Head of Client Engagement

The role will be primarily focused on the support and build-out of our market leading MCPM Regulatory product which includes ISDA Amend, Outreach360, kyc.com, Margin Xchange, Markit Tax Utility and further development of our global regulatory compliance initiatives e.g. MIFID II, FX Code of Conduct, etc.
The role will have two core functions:
Buyside and Sellside relationship management (sellside and buyside clients): Working in partnership with our Sales teams, the role will be to build and develop the buyside and sellside MCPM relationships. The product lead will ensure clients understand the strategic vision of MCPM, ISDA Amend and our regulatory products across the onboarding and regulatory eco-system and also help facilitate adoption and implementation. The role requires coordination amongst business functions, including sales, operations, product, as well as regular customer contact and presentations.
The role will have management responsibilities and engage with senior levels internally and externally with our clients.
Product Development and Analysis: The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in business analysis, process modelling, workflow development and communication. The candidate should also possess strong analytical skills to help the team clearly understand the product requirements and deliver thoughtful, timely solutions. Listening to our customer and understanding the dynamics of the Financial Markets will help us deliver timely and high quality solutions to the market place. The candidate will be driving innovative technologies such as Collaboration tools, Blockchain, and Workflow tools to support our client led product development cycle and data visualisation.
The candidate must be able to participate and lead regulatory workshops, understand business requirements and challenge working group members on the appropriate implementation of a solution. The candidate will partner with the project and product development teams to design a solution consistent with working group recommendations. Finally, the candidate must be actively involved in determining new opportunities in the derivative, trading, and/or regulatory space and keep close contact with clients to identify the next opportunity. Innovation and customer buyin is critical to the successful development of all of our technical solutions.

The role will have direct responsibility for:
Review Regulations and Standards in partnership with leading subject matter experts and the IHS Markit Data and Standards experts Development of regulatory data standards - Leading a series of workshops currently set as an 8-part series with the objective of achieving Dealer Working Group agreement on standardisation. - Holding bilateral meetings to facilitate the above, where needed and/or advantageous. - Supporting Sales in discussing the data standardisation - content and process.
Full review of Brexit and EMIR regulations including the technical standards - Partnering with other design partner organisations and Subject Matter Experts to maximise product coverage and functionality for Brexit - Performing a separate and independent review to see that use cases are maximised
Review of each applicable regulation for client reference data, and business terms repapering - Where applicable, work with legal and/or independent research how privacy laws will impact Brexit data collection (particularly for non-EU countries where entities trade with EU dealers or on EU venues) - Work on achieving a general framework for business terms re-papering with some pre-canned optionality understanding that full standardisation in this area is unlikely - Drive Dealers towards a viable solution that meets compliance requirements Business analysis for other areas of regulatory opportunity Margin Xchange - Initial Margin CSAs, ACAs/CTAs, and Eligibile Collateral Schedule - Implementation of the Margin negotiation platform at banks and buysides - Work with global sales to engage clients and explain the merits of the platform and the data digitsation of contracts / Explaining our methodology and usage - Developing marketing materials, including the potential for thought leadership and white papers to further strengthen our position in the market
Systematic Internalisers (SI) - understanding SI requirements and helping to define the product specifications for the development team to create a viable, marketable product.
Work to fill the MiFID II/Brexit gap that exists by offering Outreach360 platform as the industry standard provider of entity SI status beyond the LEI.
Work closely with Buyside and Banks/Dealers to define requirements and establish new opportunities for data and technology solutions to address their requirements
Support our managed services and consulting engagements in the EU region
Education and experience
Experience in relationship management, client presentations, and influencing
Practical experience with interaction between buyside and sellside operations including onboarding, settlements, tax, credit, loans and legal
Experience managing projects from start to finish and appropriately designing technology to improve operations
Have the credibility and capability to work across all levels within an organization to drive adoption
Bachelor's Degree or higher
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Financial Services and/or Product Development
Experience in operations, technology and/or client relationship management
Have an excellent client service ethos and be able to communicate effectively with priority clients and sales prospects
Strong interpersonal skills
Financial industry documentation and back office process awareness preferred
Ability to lead and influence teams globally
