Our client is a PE/VC fund with various underlying assets invested in multiple industries and is growing its operations internationally.
* Responsible for all middle and back office fund operations; * Establish, implement and maintain internal operations and compliance frameworks and policies; * Contribute to reporting on the performance of portfolio companies; * Responsible for regulatory compliance; * Responsible for application to specific grants and ensure adherence to qualifying conditions; * Work with External Auditors on fund matters; * Support the Investment Team to perform due diligence and develop the strategic investment case, including assessment of the value of the solution * Support the Investment Team to structure and negotiate the terms of the investments; * Develop and integrate staffing programs designed to attract the highest calibre of talent; * Assist Group Finance with financial projections and analyses of existing programs and policies * Helm budgeting and resource allocation efforts; * Position as a world-class corporate investment partner for startups and VCs; * Ensure all initiatives align with the company's core values and culture.
* Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Law or related field; * Extensive experience setting up middle and back office fund operations of a VC/ PE fund, followed by successful implementation; * Experience of working with start-ups in terms of operational reviews and implementing value-added services, e.g. fund-raising assistance, strengthening finance and operations functions; * Understands how technology or new business models can unlock new opportunities; * Strong professional network globally; * Strong relations with audit firms, due diligence firms, fund administrators and other service providers; * Ability to build and maintain relationships within a complex, global corporation: some corporate stamina is required; * A "team player" attitude with interest in developing talent.
