Associate, Structured Finance & Principal Investment

Generally support, under the supervision of other team members, the execution and origination of structured financings utilizing principal capital or lead-arranging from capital markets
Build and maintain detailed financial models independently, including developing sensitivities analysis and presentation of results
Draft and present pre-screen memos, credit approval memos, collateral analysis, cash-flow modeling, risk assessments for recourse and non-recourse financings
Evaluate potential transactions to determine the quality of financing opportunities and appropriate transaction structure to maximize return on investment
Identify specific merits, risks and mitigants for each transaction or investment
Perform internal due diligence analysis including industry, company and financial analysis
Support work on financing documentation and closing process, interfacing with external and internal legal counsels; support marketing efforts through work on pitches, proposals, presentations and other marketing materials to clients and vendors
Support on preparing post-financing portfolio monitoring and management reports
Work closely with wider group of the firm including investment banking department, sales, syndications and other internal group
Perform other internal tasks as may be necessary and including but not limited to tasks related to portfolio monitoring and associated reporting
Minimum of 2-3 years (for Associate) relevant experience in credit investments and/or corporate finance (preferable leveraged, project, illiquid, subordinated financings) on both recourse and non-recourse basis
Master's degree in finance or related subject with strong academic background from reputable universities
High numerical sense with exceptionally strong financial modeling skills, analytical ability, credit and risk management skills
Highly motivated individual team player demonstrating perseverance and result orientated
Excellent writing and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is a must
Language requirements: tasks and deliverables in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English
