Top 10 bank is seeking a quantitative individual with senior experience in model validation and expertise in Balance Sheet Management, Net Interest Forecast, Capital Market, or Liquidity Risk Management to lead the model validation team for the aforementioned areas. This is a leadership role with reports and the team is targeting a director level individual or senior VP level candidate within model risk.
You will be responsible for leading model validation efforts for balance sheet management, interest rate, liquidity, and stress testing models. This role reports to the Head of Model Validation and will have broad exposure to various business lines and stakeholders.
Leading model validation projects
Assessing methodologies and processes to develop and manage models, and identifying potential risk and the associated materiality of the risk
Benchmarking model methodologies and performance through the development of alternative models
Researching industry practices related to model methodologies
Communicating validation results to management, model owners, regulators, and auditors
10 years of experience in the areas of Balance Sheet Management, Net Interest Forecast, Capital Market, or Liquidity Risk Management
Experience in model validation
Proficiency in QRM Analytics SoftwareStrong influence, verbal and written communication skills
Master's Degree in MBA, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Operational Research, Physics or Mathematics
