This role is up to Director level Qualified, seasoned associate to join the International Pricing & Portfolio Analysis team to be an analytical support partner with the EMEA Leasing team, who are engaged in a broad range of mid to large-ticket structured asset-finance transactions (including asset-secured lending, finance leasing, operating leasing, residual value guarantee products, and hybrid / structured products in a broad range of asset classes and markets). Associate will be responsible for handling all aspects of pricing, economic analysis, and structuring support on new business and portfolio management projects, and may also be required to work on occasional strategic analytic assignments.
Associate will possess: proven analytical skills and technical expertise in lease taxation and accounting; extensive knowledge and understanding of a variety of leasing / asset finance products; demonstrated ability to interact successfully with both internal and external clients; and strong time management skills.
Associate will be required to: price new transactions for both hold and sell, and model transactions around internal metrics and/or syndication market; use creativity to optimize cash flows / structures; prepare presentation materials for internal and external presentation, review deal documentation and prepare associated document schedules and pricing exhibits.
Associate will: act as senior analytical consultant and provide structuring solutions and economic expertise to the deal team, external clients, and management; provide support in identifying and working through commercial, structural, tax and accounting issues; and be point of contact for Credit, Risk, Finance, Tax, and Operations on economic / tax / structural / accounting questions or issues.
Associate may also be required to develop / maintain analytical models as needed.
The position requirements as described are as a Senior Lease Pricing Specialist; however, depending upon the qualifications met by the candidate the role could be filled as a Lease Pricing Specialist
Degree (or equivalent) - preferably in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, theoretical science, or other business concentration.
Prior Work Experience:
Recent and relevant experience of Lease or Structured Asset Finance Pricing or Structuring. Other similar experience in Financial Analytics will be considered.
Strong analytical / financial analysis skills, and strong business acumen / commercial awareness.
A good understanding of leasing or related asset finance products and associated tax, accounting and commercial issues.
Expertise in use of Excel and/or specialized tools for cash flow optimization and analysis. Proficiency in Warren & Selbert ABC (or similar) is particularly advantageous, but not essential.
A high level of intellectual curiosity, with a keen eye for detail and a low tolerance for mistakes.
Demonstrated experience working with A ccounting, Tax, Credit, Operations and Documentation functions in the Leasing / Structured Asset Finance sector.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal); ability to communicate complex or technical concepts to a diverse audience.
Ability to work independently, and efficiently manage multiple on-going transactions / projects.
Confidence to challenge inefficient solutions and pro-actively raise concerns with team.
Ability to operate as part of a team.
Good work ethic, with tolerance for late hours and working to occasional urgent turn-around times.
