Our client is one of the leading consultancies in the field of IT and business consulting and has successfully secured backing from an entrepreneurial private investment firm. They are now looking to expand their team with an ambitious controller. The position will be based in Munich. Over the coming years, the private equity firm seeks to establish a strategic finance team to support their portfolio firms as well as their investment team – you will have the opportunity to become part of this team. As of today, you will also be in close cooperation and exchange with the team of the private investment firm.
Operational steering and controlling of the strongly growing business
Implementation and optimisation of management information systems and key performance indicators
Monthly consolidation of financial results and management reporting (P&L, balance sheet, Cash Flow, key performance indicators)
Preparation of regular target and actual performance analysis including deviation commentation, forecasts and adhoc analyses for the executive management and the shareholders
Short and medium-term budget planning
Cash and liquidity monitoring and management; as well as working capital management
Implementing and developing financial controls, internal standards and IT tools
Enabling non-financial employees to provide relevant financial data and reports and foster the understanding and appreciation of the finance function across the organisation
Involvement in establishing the firm's strategy
Close interaction with the management team and the investors
Very good academic record, ideally with a focus on business administration, accounting finance or controlling
Initial relevant work experience gained in an operational controlling position or in the audit department of a professional services firm
Excellent MS Office skills (in particular Excel); ideally paired with experience with SAP
Affinity for numbers and IT systems
Self-starter, driven to excel in a dynamic and entrepreneurial set-up
A pro-active, and hands-on approach is essential to succeed in this position
Excellent analytical skills as well as strong communication skills
