What is the Global Fund Administration & Reporting group responsible for?
GFAR Mexico Team is responsible for supporting Local Funds in all operational aspects. This includes working with clients, different business units, local authorities, and service providers. Activities goes from fund accounting, onboarding new client accounts, designing products, client and fund settlement, taxes, and new projects.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst? The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is a position that covers multiple functions within the Fund Administration area. The main responsibility of this position is to manage FTAMM Bank accounts, Fund Custodian accounts, and custodian activities. These functions include NAV validation of the funds, Fund expense management, client servicing, confirmation and settlement of securities, oversight of funds service providers.
Qualifications What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful? Education and Experience
Graduate of Finance or Business Administration or similar degree topic
At least 2 or more years of experience working at operational areas within a Mutual Fund Operator
Previous experience with Mutual Funds
Previous experience with local & International securities
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications are required
Figura 3 AMIB is preferred
Additional desirable Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
Previous experience in an asset management firm
Previous experience with brokerage activities
Previous experience with local mutual funds providers (i.e. Covaf, Custodians, Price Vendors, etc.)
Previous experience with banking activities for mutual funds
Previous experience with SIIF-BAS (Operations, Promotion, Administration, Treasury modules)
A Post-Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Pricing would be looked on favorably
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the Mexican mutual funds regulation.
Advanced knowledge of mutual funds accounting
Advanced understanding of Mexico securities
The daily working language of the office is Spanish, and an advanced level of fluency in English is required.
A proven analytical thinker
Proven problem solving and decision making in order to deal with limited resources, allocating efficiently, to ensure proper team performance
Strong relationship management and internal client-facing skills required.
