Our client is an international asset management firm with an international presence. To cope with their business expansion, they are seeking an outstanding candidate to join them.
Key responsibilities include sales and client relationship management, strategic planning for growth initiatives, competitive intelligence and business projects relating to China.Maintain and enhance existing institutional client relationships to ensure high client satisfaction and business productivity. Lead sales and business development strategy for China. Be responsible for the ongoing and timely execution of China-related business initiatives. Collaborate with colleagues in senior management, sales, investment, product and marketing to help drive the business priorities. Contribute to business strategy, planning and execution and communicate clearly with colleagues throughout this process. Translate the China strategy into action by aligning business activities to the vision and strategy of the organization. This involves liaising with respective business areas and control functions to help business develop strategies in alignment with company goals. Lead and manage regulatory relationships; closely monitor regulatory changes and corporate initiatives ensuring milestones are reached and results are monitored. Lead the analysis of market research, competitive information and business metrics to identify trends and potential new opportunities in China for the organisation. Act as a senior escalation point for all China-related business matters, providing leadership to ensure prompt and effective remediation. Build strong relationships with and manage key external and internal clients. Manage risk effectively by acknowledging, understanding, mitigating and/or eliminating it. Understand how important the effective management of risk is to and how excellence in governance can lead to better business. Maintain the highest possible fiduciary standards.
To qualify for the position, you should be a Degree holder with a minimum of 15 years' China general business experience. Experience in dealing with institutional and intermediaries business in China. A mature business operator and a relationship-builder, with ability to navigate successfully across Chinese and international business approaches and cultures. Possesses solid experience in the execution of business strategies in China. Knowledgeable in the developments of the investment management environment in China - both offshore and onshore: including regulatory and operational issues and how they relate to commercial success.
