The role offers an exceptional opportunity to join a high-profile, multi-product team with excellent opportunities for personal growth and development. The candidate will be an integral part of the Marketing team from day one, gaining exposure to all aspects of marketing and sales activity. The role will also provide front-to-back exposure to the running of an established hedge fund business. The role is intended to provide an excellent platform for taking on more direct sales responsibilities in time.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
CRM: maintenance and development
Meetings: planning, preparation and follow-up (inc. roadshows)
Conferences: planning, preparation and follow-up
RFPs: support content and response management
Content: support material updates and development (e.g. presentations and FAQs)
Brand awareness: support initiatives to promote and correctly position the firm and its products
Analysis: support team research projects (e.g. UCITS market)
Relationship management: support the high-quality servicing of existing client relationships
Project management: help manage team projects (e.g. managed account on-boarding)
Process management: help manage and develop team processes (e.g. structure and efficiency)
Investor relations: understand key activities and provide redundancy / cover for IR colleagues.
Candidate Background & Experience
Strong academic foundations, a graduate qualification in a numerical area would be a plus
Likely 1-4 years of professional experience at a tier 1 investment bank or hedge fund / asset management firm, preferably in a client facing role
Professional investment credentials would also be a bonus (e.g. IMC, CAIA, CFA).
Interest in investments: a strong interest in alternative investments
Interest in sales and marketing: a desire to engage with clients as the face of the firm
Technical ability: to understand complex investment strategies and analyse data
Analytically strong: good reasoning skills / a logical approach to problem solving
Excellent written & verbal communication: articulate and succinct
Project management ability: to coordinate and communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders, combined with a desire to get things done
Motivated: self-starter able to work with little supervision and strive to further own knowledge
Accountable: willing and able to take ownership of a range of activities
Creative deliverer: inquisitive, pragmatic, continually thinking how to improve / add value to the deliverable and not afraid to challenge the status quo
General: detail-oriented, ability to multitask, strong time management and people skills
