About the role
We are looking for a Manager, Business Units and Structured Financing to support the funding of group operations and projects on commercial terms, achieving competitive pricing and reducing commercial and political risks. This role is commercially focused and outcome-driven, it interfaces with Business Unit (BU) finance teams and third party providers, and ensures the business has access to a wide range of treasury services to support their business priorities.
This role is a great opportunity to be the main interface between business units and third party financiers and service providers. The main focus will be on negotiating financing structures and arrangements which requires relationship building and maintenance, as well as developing and exchanging complex financial information. Reporting to the Director, BU & Structured Financing you will be:
Supporting the development and execution of financing strategies taking into consideration commercial, legal, tax, and financial risks to provide equity, shareholder finance, structured finance or project finance
Coordinating action plans, conducting analysis (incl. financial modeling in Excel), providing advice/comments, defining terms and conditions, drafting financing documentation and approval papers/memos
Standardizing processes/procedures, reporting progress, developing scorecards, managing filing of documentation
Supporting strong collaborative relationships with BU Controllers and Finance teams to ensure that Treasury is positioned at the core of the business
Supporting key external relationships with banks, multilateral/bi-lateral agencies and external advisors
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A Post graduate degree (MBA, CFA, Engineering or equivalent)
Demonstrated experience in a multinational organization (large corporation or financial institutions) in management roles
Sound knowledge of international corporate finance, risk management, capital markets, valuation, financial instruments, and cash management
Advanced Financial Modeling skills
Good understanding of accounting, legal, and tax standards relevant to treasury/international financing
Good project management and execution skills, strong professional skills including stakeholder / change management / knowledge management
It will also be beneficial if you have:
A recognized Treasury qualification (e.g. ACT)
