Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Credit Risk Manager .
Process or Review and approve new, interim and annual review of credit applications and or perform analysis and make recommendation for management approval.
Approve or recommend exceptions or transactions
Make independent credit judgment and to be analytical in credit assessment.
Prioritize tasks and manage the daily jobs at a good pace.
To contribute to the credit approval process in Global Private Banking
To contribute to the profitability of the Group and minimise loan losses.
To provide qualitative and meaningful input on the Global Private Banking operating units or lending portfolios.
To formulate or recommend or implement or maintain credit policies, guidelines, standards and processes.
To ensure all credits are complied with local regulations.
Develop positive working relationships with local Credit and Credit Advisory teams
Interaction with regulators and internal or external auditors.
Liaise with Global Private Banking offices to ensure that they understand and implement policies and risk appetite
Input to Global Private Bankings Credit Risk Training.
Interaction with Global Business to ensure understanding of Risk Portfolio dynamics and decision making or behaviour to achieve related aims
Demonstrate excel credit analysis skills for credit proposals from private banking clients.
Good knowledge of single stock financing
General knowledge of law, accounting and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of the HSBC Group, its operations and products and credit policies and processes.
Strong communication skills.
Desirable to hold a relevant professional qualification.
Alive to the wider global risk aspects of the role and an ability to adapt within a constantly changing environment.
Can do attitude, balance risk and opportunity and ability to form positive relationships.
An effective team player.
Good research ability to establish arguments that are well constructed to ensure the optimal added value to the credit and business process.
