The Investment Banking Division (IBD) offers equity, leveraged finance, and debt products as well as financial restructuring and mergers and acquisitions advisory to a wide-spectrum of industries, including: Financial Institutions, Technology, Media and Telecommunications, Healthcare, Real Estate, Industrial, Consumer and Natural Resources.
Associates at Goldman Sachs play a meaningful role in developing and strengthening our client relationships, participating on our advisory teams and in structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Be a vital part of Goldman Sachs' banking teams as they develop key analytical, communications, marketing and sales skills. - Be responsible for developing financial models, performing customized company valuation analysis, and involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and fixed income and equity issuances. - Organise and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. - Participate in and conduct due diligence sessions and maintain client communication to help Goldman Sachs structure client transactions. - Work closely with teams of tax advisors, attorneys and clients to drive processes and actively participate in the negotiation of legal documentation
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Strong academic record with Bachelor's degree, equivalent or above in Economics, Finance or a related discipline required - Prior investment banking industry experience required - Experience of preparing manuals, materials for clients, pitching and executing structured transactions required - Familiarity with (IPO, M&A. debt raise, public market equity) transactions required - Experience of conducting in-depth analysis and selection of beneficial portfolios required. Analyses to include IRR, M&A opportunities, LBO, DCF, marginal price, future stock price, accretion/dilution - Familiarity with industry trend generation, capital structure optimisation and portfolio benchmarking required - Experience in developing/working with models including cash flow based, valuation, DMM, common stock comparisons required - Strong verbal and written communication skills required - Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members in multiple groups and regions required
