High growth, private equity backed investment management business heading for IPO
Ideal move from Banking / Advisory / Chartered
A current opportunity exists for a corporate finance professional to make a move into the M&A team of a private equity backed, high growth wealth and investment business heading for IPO. You will play a leading role in the identification of strategic growth opportunities as well as the development and execution of M&A transaction processes. This highly successful business with strong growth potential provides bespoke wealth and investment management services to an exclusive group of HNW clients and is a market leader in their sector.
Working as part of a small team based in Sydney, and directly for Chief Operating Officer, you will enjoy exposure to senior management, including the CEO, and will take a key role in the management and execution of deal processes and the project management for a portfolio of deals. The role holder will be required to work closely with all parties involved in the transaction and must be comfortable building strong working relationships across a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
Candidates will likely have between 5 and 8 years of M&A experience, ideally with experience from investment banking, leading independent corporate advisory firms, the M&A teams of the top 4 CA firms or from other corporate development teams. You will have a proven track record of executing M&A transactions and will be looking for an opportunity to use this skill set in a corporate environment whilst also gaining experience managing the highly active portfolio of deals you'd expect from a rapidly growing business. Given the size of the team you must be comfortable working across all stages of a deal from due diligence and financial modelling through to commercial negotiations and you will display a collaborative and mature communication style. This role represents a great opportunity for a first step in to a corporate environment from banking / advisory. Attractive salary package on offer from $200k base (negotiable) plus bonus.
Please note that applicants must have full working rights for Australia.
