Our client is one of the largest banks in the world. It is a successful, multinational bank and financial services company which specialises in Investment solutions and Corporate and Institutional banking. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Front Office Controls Officer for a 3 Month Rolling contract based in London.
Purpose of the Role:
This role is within Front Office Controls Team, reporting to the Head of FO Global Controls London. It will be integral to the role to work closely with Global Business Heads for different asset classes to perform regulatory controls and develop as required.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Responsible for controlling the appropriateness of the client tiering vs the category of the products traded.
Dealing with BAU Process and queries for 1st Line of Defence.
Review and enhance Controls for relevant Global Business Lines..
Ensuring consistency across regions and to ensure the effectiveness of the process.
Post Trade Control.
Performing Monthly Control to review % of Global Scope of sensitive trades.
KPI and reporting.
Cross-train any new members for these controls.
Build skills matrix so each team member is compliant for each trading venue.
In order to be successful in this role you will have possess all or some of the below criteria:
The ideal candidate would have experience within Front Office Business Lines, Compliance or Operational support roles at an Investment Bank.
Flexible working across different tasks and Business Lines within FOC.
A good knowledge of Global Market products and their process would be an advantage.
Strong interpersonal and team working skills are essential, as is the ability to be proactive and exercise effective time management skills.
Intermediate IT skills including Excel are required as are good written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work within a pressurised environment and re-prioritise throughout the day is important.
Knowledge of MiFID II would be advantageous.
