About the role Your role is primarily focused on the risk assessment of a portfolio of UK and European Asset Managers, including pension funds, hedge funds and mutual funds. Key requirements are:
Primary responsibility for credit risk assessment (includes credit, legal, documentation, product, operational risk, etc.) and management of an allocated portfolio (including well managed agenda).
Will require engagement with the client on-boarding, compliance, finance, legal, operations and risk teams.
Strong customer focus with accountability to drive outcomes to meet customer requirements, without compromising bank standards. Works in close collaboration with Relationship Managers (RMs).
Competent product and legal capabilities, with an ability to leverage bank resources to deliver seamlessly to the customer.
Support Relationship Coverage in meeting revenue goals.
Maintaining customer files.
Completion of scheduled customer reviews and preparation of credit submission for ongoing customer deals and transactions
Undertake regular portfolio reviews in order to maintain a well-managed customer set.
Early identification and appropriate escalation of problem accounts, operational incidents or any other risk factors, such as potentially adverse press coverage or similar.
Proactively deliver quality, concise, relevant and timely credit submissions, which identify key risk triggers/risk grade review events and make sound, objective recommendations.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following –
Relevant degree/qualifications in Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 1 year of credit experience with Funds and Financial Institutions.
Experience in Asset Management and Fund analysis is required, including High Risk Funds.
Experience in due diligence covering Global and Large Fund Managers and Structured Financing to Funds.
Reasonable level of product (markets) and legal (ISDA, CSA etc.) experience and expertise.
Fast, accurate, and has keen attention to detail.
Experience in onboarding a large number of new counterparties.
Strong global communication, networking and stakeholder management capabilities as role supports a global business.
