We'll look to you to deliver and embed the NatWest Markets business resilience strategy
You'll help us to anticipate sources of disruption to our customer services, eliminate operational vulnerabilities and recover from unavoidable issues
The work you do will be vital to the security and protection of both the bank and our customers

What you'll do
As Head of Business Resilience you'll define and take ownership of the NatWest Markets business resilience strategy, gaining approval for the risk appetite and establishing a business continuity plan. You'll provide daily direction, oversight and leadership for the NatWest Markets resilience function, influencing senior business stakeholders to align resilience and continuity strategies and services, and integrating resilient thinking into strategic business decision making.
Drive an efficient incident management approach
Challenge the resilience policy, service framework and mandatory procedures where necessary
Build a network and engage with service owners, systems owners, technology systems providers and other appropriate stakeholders across the organisation
Establish potential costs of all elements related to the business continuity plan
Develop assurance reporting to satisfy business appetite
The skills you'll need
We're looking for someone with practical industry knowledge and experience of managing business resilience or in an operating risk environment. Along with strong communication skills, you'll be able to build an effective network to identify and resolve issues.
You'll also demonstrate:
The drive to challenge existing processes and identify areas for improvement
Solid people management experience, especially across indirect teams
Operating model design and implementation experience
A positive approach to team work, and the ability to coordinate activity to meet target timelines and goals
