We are looking for a Senior Investment Writer to join our Investment Commentary team in London.
What is the Investment Commentary group responsible for?
As its name suggests, this team provides written content for recurring monthly, quarterly and other periodic investment commentary, newsletters and topic papers for multiple audience types, including institutional clients, financial advisors and broker/dealers. This role has a particular focus on our Fixed Income area and will work closely with portfolio management, proxy groups, product strategy and senior stakeholders across all our regions.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Investment Writer?
Create commentaries using independent research, attribution reports and other data analytics.
Write and review scheduled, recurring commentary deliverables, as well as the most complex or high-profile commentary deliverables (e.g., top portfolio managers, firm-wide market response pieces, newsletters, topic pieces, market overviews), serving as an SME for business partners globally.
Ensure copy complies with corporate standards, effectively communicates desired message, and meets project deadlines and specifications
Qualifications What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
Excellent writing skills with the ability to be flexible in your writing style, and writing experience within the financial services industry
Proficient in interpreting attribution reports and able to translate data into clear, concise text
Solid, proven understanding of investment products and industry; in-depth knowledge of the firm's products and the overall industry
Excellent organization skills with demonstrated success in working to tight deadlines, prioritizing, multi-tasking, attention to detail, and working autonomously
Bachelor's degree, ideally in communications, economics, finance or similar discipline
Knowledge of business desktop applications (i.e.: Microsoft Office, Quark, etc.)
