Regional CAATTs Program Overview Asia Consumer Business Operational Risk and Control (CBORC) function is establishing a Digital Control Assessment and Analysis Function (DCAAF) to drive the digitization and automation of control assessments across the Asia Consumer Bank through Computer-Assisted Auditing Tools and Techniques (CAATTs)-based digital retrievals and other digital technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in order to significantly raise the effectiveness and efficiency of self-assessments and the self-identification of risks and issues. DCAAF is building on the initial rollout of CAATTs across the Asia Consumer Bank to materially expand its scope and reach and to implement a consistent governance structure, processes, and management reporting. Key Elements of the Asia DCAAF Function and the CAATTs Program:
Documenting and implementing a CAATTs lifecycle process
Formalizing an effective governance process
Defining, tracking and measuring CAATTs success metrics
Establishing a clear communication plan and reporting (Dashboard) for senior management at country and regional level
Building a fast-track CAATTs process to develop and implement high-priority CAATTs
Mapping CAATTs to the MCA (Manager's Control Assessment) PRCMs (Processes/Risks/Controls/Monitoring) and the GCB Customer Journeys (e.g. account opening, funds transfers etc)
Developing a CAATTs training program for users and stakeholders
Driving sustained partnerships with Second and Third Line of Defence functions on the shared leverage and use of digital assessment processes such as CAATTs and RPA
Ensuring alignment with Global CBORC activities relating to digital assessments
Role of the DCAAF Product Analyst The Regional DCAAF Risk and Controls Analyst will support the DCAAF function and the CBORC Analytics and Reporting team on key aspects of risk and control issue, theme, and trend analysis, and will support the end-to-end CAATTs and CBORC reporting processes. Key Responsibilities: As an integral team member of the Regional DCAAF team and the Regional CBORC function, the CAATTs Analyst will provide support and coordination across the overall CAATTs and CBORC risk and control analytics and reporting process, which includes the following responsibilities and activities:
Support for the Regional DCAAF Lead, DCAAF Product & Quality Assurance Lead, and the Regional CBORC Analytics and Reporting Lead on the strategy, development, and execution of risk and control analysis and reporting processes and tools.
Collation of risk and control issues raised through the CAATTs process and through the CBORC reporting process including management-identified issues, assurance processes (e.g. Compliance Assurance), audits and exams, and other channels and processes.
Coordination, tracking and follow-up of key risk and control activities and tasks at country and regional level to ensure timely analysis and reporting.
Analysis of risk and control trends and themes highlighted through the CAATTs and CBORC processes.
Formulation of observations and recommendations based on collated qualitative and quantitative risk and control information.
Reporting of key themes and trends, including risk and control indicators to CAATTs and CBORC management.
Assessment of analytics and reporting data quality and follow-up with information owners and providers that do not meet DCAAF and CBORC quality standards.
Support for key risk and control governance and management reporting processes and preparation of senior management reports including the CRCMM (Consumer Risk and Control Management Meeting), BRCC (Business Risk and Control Committee), and other key forums.
The role is at C12 level and reports directly into the DCAAF Product & Quality Assurance Lead with a matrix to the Asia CBORC Risk and Control Analytics and Reporting Lead.
At least a Bachelors degree with a strong academic background in Finance, Accounting, Business, Risk, Data Analytics, or Computer Science ; preference for a Master Degree
At least 4 years of experience with proven track record in financial services covering controls, data analytics, and/or reengineering through digitization
Advanced understanding analytics and reporting concepts, processes, and tools.
Experience in coordinating regional and country stakeholders and information owners.
Materially experienced in the advanced use of MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong communication and interpersonal skill with management and stakeholders
Eloquent in written and spoken business English
Self-starter who is able to work independently
Meticulous in planning and follow-ups
Ability to motivate and influence regional and country stakeholders and virtual teams with regards to requested tasks, timelines, and reporting data quality
