The QIS (quantitative investment strategies) business develops rules-based investment strategies. We are looking for someone to help us build out our desk-based infrastructure for calculating these strategies on a daily basis.
We work mainly with Python although there may also be a need to support some legacy Excel/VBA infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have experience in either a technology role or have a strong academic background in computer science and will bring additional engineering rigour to the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for a role within front office that will leverage their experience building robust technology solutions. The products we trade are algorithmic in nature and so this will provide a high profile role within the team.
Role will be part of the FO - with much trading / structuring interaction but will also require liaising with other IT / quant groups around the Firm to ensure they deliver our requirements. Candidates should be comfortable working in this fast-paced and high pressure environment and have the requisite soft skills to excel.
