This position leads various actuarial projects in regional project. The range of projects include
IFRS17 policy development and implementation
Business development such as bancassurance deal, Merger and Acquisition
Any other actuarial projects across the region.
Set and manage projects with cross-divisional impact, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget and quality targets. Project teams will typically include staff from other departments and, often, other countries.
Develop strategies and implementing solutions to address ad-hoc resource constraints within the region.
Leading and Development of Regional initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Division.
Engage and develop actuarial staff whilst promoting teamwork to ensure business sustainability planning of current and future organization capabilities needs.
Provide assistance and advice to peers and other stakeholders throughout Regional.
Act as a Project Manager or Subject Matter Expert in various actuarial aspects
Actuarial designation (FSA / FCIA), combined with experience in the life insurance industry
Good leadership skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong knowledge of insurance industry world-wide and of Manulife's businesses in particular
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills as well as ability to process large amounts of information and summarize effectively
Ability to successfully manage complex projects and deliver timely results
Strong professional judgment, ability to assess risks, as well as to effectively identify opportunities for improved efficiency
