Claims Insurance Team member
Do work that matters
As a team member managing deceased estates cases as well as notification and finalization of insurance life claims, you need to show complex decision making techniques while displaying high level of customer empathy. In addition to this you need to be proactive in contributing to the overall success of the team through displaying the values of the group.
You will be responsible for the release of Superannuation, Pension and Unit Trust benefits through Deceased Estates as well as managing release of Super through Terminal Illness and Permanent Incapacity.

This role is within Colonial First State (CFS) and sits within the Client Operations Division. Client Operations is the largest division in CFS with over 400 staff and is responsible for looking after the day to day interactions we have with our clients - advisers, investors and employers.
Your Team sits within the Insurance & Employer Services department. You are the integral initial contact point for the start of claims of insurance including Death, TPD and Salary Continuance Insurance.
We do this by:
Case management, with genuine care, any matters relating to the deceased estates across products serviced by CFS
Communicating effectively with clients to ensure they are clear on CFS requirements and process, and help support clients by effectively managing internal stakeholders.
Undertaking the initial review and assessment of the case
Producing all client correspondence to request the necessary estate documentation.
Answering all client/interested parties and stakeholder queries relating to deceased estates and other technical queries.
Assessing documentation and requests in line with our business rules, legal requirements and industry standards
Completing all necessary technical activities relating to the request such as anti-detriment calculation

Previous experience in determining beneficiaries within Deceased Estates & management of insurance claims

RG146 compliant preferred
Relevant tertiary qualifications preferred
