Our client a Global Fund Manager is looking to expand the Singapore based team with the hire of a Head of Distribution Sales for all of South East Asia.
Responsible for the regional sales and marketing activities of investment products and/or services for Private banks, retail banks, Insurance houses, IFAs and fund platforms. Develop the regional business strategy and maintain a pipeline of business and identify new opportunities in the market, including Retail Partnerships.
Develop and formulate sales strategy for penetrating and increasing market share for Distribution (including retail) in SE Asia.
Provide leadership and supervise Distribution/Retail sales team in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
Formulate sales target, and motivate and direct the team to identify and target new potential business opportunities to meet the annual sales targets for SE Asia.
Stay abreast of changes and developments in the industry, market trends and product demand and translate them into productive opportunities to increase sales.
Be involved in marketing and promotional activities that enhance commercial relationships and sales.
Negotiate terms of business on behalf of the Company.
Be well informed on industry, regulatory and tax issues of specific target countries in the regional and ensure compliance.
Supervise and oversee the development of distribution/retail staff.
Act as liaison between Singapore and HQ's relevant Heads and teams to align commercial interests to ensure timely response and adequate information flow relevant to securing sales.
Min. 10 years' relevant experience within the Fund Sales/ Business Development space in south east Asia
Strong network of contacts within the Private banks, retail banks, Insurance houses, IFAs and fund platforms
Well developed leadership skills and ability to manage cross-cultural teams
