We are currently looking for a Senior Test QA Manager to join our team in KL.
The Test Assurance and Engineering team, which is part of the group Governance and Change organization, is seeking a Senior Test QA Manager to join our Test Assurance team, based in Kuala Lumpur.
The candidate would have a term of reference to the Unified Testing Model (UTM) which provides a guideline to all testing standards and test disciplines. The UTM is part of the System Delivery Framework (SDF), which is a bank approved quality process that has been in placed for all delivery teams to adher to. In addition, the candidate would have to synergize the UTM model based on the identified framework, and reach a balance in guiding CIO teams to be compliant to the frameworks in their test strategy and approach.
The candidate will develop part of a bank-wide consultancy function, be expected to own and represent the specialist capacity to a section of the Bank. The candidate would perform reviews of provided test artefacts by project team, to ensure that they are compliant and are of standards based on the SDF. The candidate is also there to provide advice on tool usage, process implementation as well as in identifying early testing risks together with the project team.
While project teams will own detailed planning, authoring and execution activities, the Senior Test QA Manager may be expected to engage and provide training to get the teams up to speed with the process.
Hence, the role will require on-going engagement with a broad constituency across the bank, dealing with teams' project, development and testing who are at varying stages of technology and test methodology adoption. Strong time-management, quality and process oriented, negotiation and prioritisation skills for oneself and others is favorable. The ability to successfully communicate with senior management, provide strategic solution, strong leadership skills and business stakeholders is essential.
The successful applicant will fulfill the following responsibilities.
Deliver Quality Assurance service to CIO teams.
Engages with testing and development teams across the bank.
For the assigned CIO, perform quality assurance activities on testing deliverables with the results feeding into the monthly QA dashboard
Ensure QA reviews are performed to the highest standard.
Provide independent assurance services for testing to ensure that minimum standards are met and risks associated to lack of testing and poor application quality are highlighted.
Provides consultancy and advisory services to the business, and development teams.
Demonstrate the value of the Quality Assurance function
Effectively manage multiple stakeholder demands and expectations while maintaining quality and delivery
Ensure stakeholders recognise the value of the independent quality assurance function through the findings that are provided and the improvements that occur as a result.
Keeps current with new practice and technical developments for potential use as solutions to requirements
Provide test process training and support to teams.
Deliver training and support to application teams in relation to test process (unified testing model or transition to agile testing).
Training can be formal classroom based or on a 1:1 basis to a test manager. The aim is to ensure that teams understand the testing processes and how to implement it on their projects.
Works with security and compliance teams to ensure solutions conform to bank and industry standards.
Established professional with 10 or more years working in the related testing life-cycles, execution and implementation.
Good communication skills with the ability to lead and influence direction and strategy of testing organization.
Self-starter, independent and willing to learn.
Excellent problem analysis and resolution abilities.
Ability to understand end-to-end test management process and provide the best practice solution
Possess good Test and Project Management background would be eseential.
Possess good understanding of technical and development knowledge with change and release experience would be an advantage.
To have the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
