Business Description Derivative Clearing Operations support JP Morgan's global exchange traded futures and options brokerage business. Business provides investors and hedgers access to exchange traded listed derivatives throughout the world and acts solely as the client's agent on brokerage transactions, and never as principal. Mission of the business includes:
Developing trade ideas and portfolio management strategies in derivative markets;
Identifying relative value between and among derivative and cash instruments;
Quantifying the risks and profit opportunities of trades involving futures and options;
Executing client trades for fixed income, money market, foreign exchange, commodity and equity-related futures and options on exchanges worldwide;
Clearing and settling futures and options transactions;
Posting the margins required by exchanges, using cash or securities in ways most convenient to the client ; and
Providing operational information about client's transactions in flexible and responsive electronic or paper formats.

Job Functions and Responsibilities of DCO The Derivatives Clearing Operations (DCO) team has two key responsibilities. Both functions work closely with front office in Japan as well as regional and global DCO organization to ensure the best in class client service and seamless clearing is maintained with local exchange.
Client Services: provide valuable post-transaction services to both of internal and external clients mainly located in Japan on behalf of overseas entities in the UK and US. Responsibilities include :
Client onboarding support as liaison between onboarding entity and the client
Ensure client's requests and query with respect to transaction and market are addressed by appropriate internal team
Ensure post trade reports and statements delivered to clients are accurate and timely
Conduct appropriate control of the end-to-end and oversight of the functions outside of location to ensure clients are served in first-class manner
Exchange Interface's role is to manage clearing of listed derivatives trades executed at OSE/TFX and preparation of regulatory reporting Responsibilities include:
Settlement with local exchanges, clearing house and external clients
Legal Ledger and Regulatory report generation and control
Reconciliation with the exchange and clearing house
Participation and management of projects driven by business initiatives, market changes and internal system changes
Minimum 5 years of experience in investment banking operations role
Experience with F&O product in any capacity is preferable
Client service skills, including inter-personal skill and capturing of clients' requirements and delivery of solutions.
Managerial/supervisory experience is preferable; critical to have a strong and inclusive leadership and ability to influence others to deliver the result
Strong verbal and written bilingual (Japanese and English) communication, including negotiation skills
Change management mindset and track record to deliver positive change in the end-to-end
Project management and leadership experience will be an advantage
