We are looking for a resource with experience in Solvency II models and with mathematical / actuarial skill with some IT background. He will support the development team on functional side from requirement gathering phase to the test and release in production of any application used for the risk capital calculation in GRM. He or she will report directly to the Group Risk Capital Calculation and Reporting Development lead, mainly in relation to the following topics:
Enhancements to the applications
User Acceptance Test execution
In addition, during the high peak of system usage and according to the workload of the Development area, the FE can be requested to support the Operation manager in his day by day activity to set up and run the application in production. The Group Risk Capital Calculation and Reporting area will be focused on the development, maintenance and run of the capital systems, in order to satisfy the needs of Group Risk Management users, Country users and any other stakholder within the Group, as well as the management of all the processes to support the regulatory activities like the scope extension and the on-cycle model changes. To accomplish this task, the area will be split in three main streams, Tools, Planning and Reporting and Governance.
As such, responsibilities of the role will include the following:
Write or collect new functional requirements for the application in the GRM area used for the calculation and reporting of capital numbers
Review the functional design of the applications in scope of capital calculation in GRM area
Write the detaield test cases list
Coordinate the UAT activity
Execute functional and non functional tests of any new release of applications in scope for capital calculation in GRM area
Support technical and operating test with functional insight or guidance
Execute code changes in the reporting aggregation kernel
Test and validate any configuration change to the applications in scope of capital calculation in GRM area once in production
Support operation manager, when needed, to configure, upload data and run the applications according to capital plan
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Degree in Engineering, Statistics or any other IT / quantitative discipline
Technical courses: Asset modelling, proxy method modelling, aggregation methods theory and practice, MC simulations theory and practice
IT: AlgoOne experience, Matlab or VBA or other soft coding skills
Previous professional experience: worked on Internal model Solvency II implementation, from IT and functional perspective
Precise and ordered, delivery oriented
Good written communcation skill,
Ability to work under pressure, autonomous in task execution
