We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Digital Information Technology, Hong Kong. We are looking for a strong technical leader with deep understanding of the latest digital and a wide range of technologies to help us build and run HSBC's digital services in Hong Kong, helping us move away from the monolithic architectures of the past to a new microservices platform under Cloud First, Mobile First and Open API strategy. You will be part of a cross functional global product team delivering products into production in ever shortening cycles. With your deep understanding of Hong Kong markets / businesses, regulators and service providers, you will drive innovation and partnership together with the business counterpart.

Lead and be accountable for enabling the end to end delivery of Digital changes and on-going management of Digital services of Hong Kong.
Working with the Hong Kong markets drive adoption of strategic Digital functionality.
Be a key member of the Global Digital IT leadership team within HSBC Digital Solutions. Working with peers to transform the shift to Digital for HSBC.
Work closely with business leaders to represent IT and ensure close collaboration for successful digital deliveries.
Ensuring adherence to governance procedures and significant contribution to process improvement.
Engaging and working collaboratively with wider business, IT and other teams to ensure the success of digital transformation.
Building and maintaining relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, vendors and partners.
Considering risk implications in all decisions and activities through a good understanding of business activity, opportunities and threats.
Leveraging digital knowledge and expertise to drive business decisions and business improvements.
Working with the Retail Banking and Wealth Management business to maintain and plan the Digital portfolio of projects, working towards the HSBC IT Strategy. Managing overall budgets and risks and issues.
Ensure that problems are managed at peer level, and escalated efficiently with the minimum disruption to the business.
Adopt and share standards, tools, best practices, principles for cost, quality and productivity improvement.
Maintain good exposure and develop knowledge in new techniques, products, services, technologies and standards.
In depth experience of Digital Experience delivery with a working knowledge of agile and DevOps methodologies and Tools.
Strong understanding of IT systems, best practices and principles with exposure to cloud, mobile apps, web technologies, micro-services and open APIs.
Based in Hong Kong. Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, eg. Guangzhou, Xian, India,, UK, etc.
University degree in computer science, information technology / related discipline or equivalent experience.
Strong IT Leadership, managing matrix project teams both regionally and globally, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team or on an individual basis.
Commercial acumen, start-up mindset, good risk management and mitigation skills.
Ability to make things happen, quickly understand and resolving issues.
Effective communication skills in English and Cantonese. Mandarin speaking would be an advantage.
