about the role
Manage and prioritise KYC Client Onboarding and Periodic Reviews
Update key stakeholders on the progress and challenges
Work closely and liaise with Front Office, Credit, Legal & Compliance, as well as offshore teams
Take charge of complex KYC cases
Handle escalation, delay and deficiency on KYC documents
Perform quality checks to ensure adherence to bank's and regulatory guidelines
Identify risk and gaps and mitigate them
Participate in operational performance reviews
Prepare MIS for management decision making
Spot trends (in data points) and provide analysis
Mentor and provide guidance to junior members within the team
Participate in projects
skills and experience required
At least 5 years of KYC/AML experience within the Corporate Investment Banking space
Undertaken both Maker and Checker role
Effective communications and stakeholder management skills
Good knowledge of AML regulations, regulatory trends and developments
Proven ability to prioritise competing demands
Attention to detail and willingness to question current state practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Prior supervisory experience is an added advantage
