Maldon Partners is currently recruiting a Compliance Manager position for a market leading Financial Services Firm based in the City of London.The role has been created due to expansion and will report directly in to the Compliance Director.
The main purpose of the role is to work with the compliance director in ensuring the company meets all of its regulatory obligations.Responsibilities will be split 50:50 between general BAU tasks and regulatory projects.
Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Contribute to the completion of the Compliance Monitoring Program;
Undertake complex regulatory related project work which includes producing briefing papers outlining the practical consequences of any new regulatory change and assist in formulating a policy response;
Advise business units on the practical application of FCA rules and guidance;
Assist and support the Head of Compliance with implementing the compliance framework and meeting the overall objectives of the department.
Develop new policies and update existing ones to ensure they remain in line with regulatory requirements;
Keep abreast of regulatory developments and changes and be able to identify the practical implications (if any) for the firm;
In order to apply for the role you will have:
Knowledge and understanding of the FCA's handbook;
A minimum of 2 years generalist compliance or policy focused experience gained within a financial services firm
Awareness of upcoming regulatory developments including MiFID II;
Educated to degree level ideally in a Legal subject
Excellent written and oral communication
Good IT skills to an advanced level in PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
The compliance manager role has a salary of £45,000 to £65,000 depending on experience and is based in the City of London
