This role sits within the front office and will be working in a private side derivatives sales & marketing team. Work with various coverage teams, specifically investment & corporate banking to help originate structure and execute strategic derivative transactions. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to gain wider exposure to other sales teams
Work with global corporate & investment banking personal to identify & market derivatives backed solutions to achieve strategic objectives for CIB clients
Prepare presentation materials and participating in deal pitches
Perform analysis for product modelling, options pricing
Negotiate terms for bilateral transactions with clients
Work together with trading, legal, compliance, credit & market risk, etc, in the execution of a transaction, including document negotiation, approvals memo, presentation to risk committees among other tasks
Balance potentially competing needs across clients, internal partners and the firm
Understand drivers of relevant markets and establish a high degree of competence with clients
Entrepreneurial drive with strong analytical and quantitative skills
Experience working within investment banking, specifically experience and understanding of corporate finance and application to client objectives
Demonstrate creativity in solving problems. Always looks for new ways of doing things
Ability to communicate concepts and ideas, both verbally and via documentation, and be able to defend their validity and target messages to different audiences
Understand transaction cycles and the steps in the process and be execution oriented
Ability to thrive on the challenge of competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs
Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management
Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
Demonstrable proficiency with markets and products. Understand the quantitative nature and framework of options (e.g., pricing, models, etc)
Understand different types of risk and be able to discuss ways of managing these risk
English and Mandarin fluency is essential
