Core-Asset Consulting's client, a leading investment management firm in Edinburgh, is seeking a Cash Management Support Manager to join them on an initial 6-month contract.
In depth knowledge of cash management and treasury operations processes.
Strong knowledge of investment operations end to end processes, including confirmations, trade settlements, unit dealing, reconciliation and other transaction management
In depth understanding of Cash data flows in an Asset Management environment.
Strong knowledge of investment instruments, with particular emphasis on money market instruments
In depth knowledge of investments, funds and regulatory accounting standards
Good knowledge of regulatory and mandate governance and the application of these to varied fund groups
Experience of control function environments and outsourced relationships
Industry qualification (e.g. IOC/IAQ or IMC)
Ensure team respond quickly to complex queries from various internal groups involving current cash positions and forecast balances.
Review of cash forecast files (received from external supplier) and resolution of issues arising in order to provide money market dealers and fund managers with accurate cash positions.
Ensure cash representation on strategic projects so the cash operating model is integrated into the business operating model.
Take a lead role in enhancing cash management processes and procedures
Oversight of overdrawn and potential overdrawn positions in order to reduce charges and to encourage compliance with regulatory and mandate rules, arrange timely reimbursement where appropriate.
Oversight of claims process ensuring claims are dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner.
Manage the high level relationship with the team's key internal and external clients, building and maintaining productive working relationships with customers and suppliers alike. Arrange service review meetings as required.
Ensure that external suppliers provide deliverables as agreed around cash management activities, including monitoring and reviewing the quality and timeliness of external feeds.
Oversee corrective action where cash management activities and reports indicate process failures collaborating with Risk and Compliance teams as appropriate.
Build the team profile to deliver recognition of the team as a centre of excellence in cash management
