In APAC, the Operations Regulatory Reporting Production team is responsible for ensuring Societe Generale meets its regulatory obligation for key non-financial regulatory reports.
Working as part of the Operations Regulatory Reporting Production Team in SG Hong Kong you will be responsible for tasks related to the HKMA OTC reporting production. The team will be in charge of the production, investigation, and correction as well as managing and correcting report rejected by the Hong Kong regulators validation systems.
The role is based in Operations; however, interrogation of the data will involve working closely with Front Office, IT, Compliance, other areas of Operations and the business.
Carry out daily production processes in order to meet the OTC Trade reporting obligations in Hong Kong
Monitor reporting exceptions and co-ordination with the relevant reporting production team to ensure that they are addressed on a daily basis
Review and investigate any regulator rejections and exceptions
Interact with IT, other upstream Operations teams, Compliance, Front Office and other areas regarding reporting issues and remediation required
Be flexible in contributing to other activities in the team when necessary, for example analysis required for queries received from the Regulator
Responsible for reading, understanding and complying with the Company's Conduct and Standards and corresponding regulations. You will be notified of changes to policies in a timely manner through announcements and/or intranet updates
Involve in any user testing and post production testing as required
Hold a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or equivalent
Understanding of financial markets, cash and derivatives (Listed and OTC products), Equities, Securities, currencies and the operational processes within these areas of Operations would be a plus
Good with MS Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
Good team player with strong interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proactive
Flexible and able to learn quickly
Attentive to detail
Capable to meet objective assigned under tight deadline with accuracy and quality
Good communication skills, both oral and written English, including ability to document procedure in English
This is a fixed term 12 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. In order to apply for the Trainee position please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of the Trainee contract.
