As part of GPS, the Global Investment Group (GIG) is responsible for idea generation, diligence, approval, execution and monitoring of investments as a fiduciary of DB WM clients. GIG takes a proactive approach to sourcing fund and direct investment opportunities globally. The GIG investment scope includes both traditional and alternative asset classes, including: private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds, mutual funds and exchange traded funds.
This position is for a role on the GIG illiquids team that focuses on making fund and direct investments across private equity, credit, real estate and infrastructure opportunities.
Support the investment diligence process by sourcing, evaluating and executing potential fund and direct investments across illiquid asset classes
Preparing concept papers, investment memoranda, financial models and presentation materials
Monitor investments post-execution and conduct ongoing reviews (periodic calls and meetings with managers)
Support product specialists on marketing roadshows and provide support to the salesforce, when appropriate
Prepare reviews and meeting notes to communicate investment activities to key WM stakeholders
Perform rigorous qualitative and quantitative due diligence for Investment Committee review
Analyze and monitor performance of fund managers and underlying investments / portfolio companies
Participate in the group's marketing/business development efforts
Coordinate with internal bank functions to on-board new product offerings for the wealth management platform
Attend meetings with existing and potential fund managers when appropriate
The individual will need to demonstrate
Strong interest and understanding of the private equity, real estate, credit and infrastructure asset classes
Excellent numerical skills including a strong understanding of financial modeling, company valuation and market/industry research
Interest in current investment trends and understanding of global macroeconomic themes
Ability to establish networks among investment managers and DB stakeholders
Candidates must be detail-oriented, pro-active, self-motivated and be able to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision.
