We currently have a full time, 3-year contract opportunity for a Project Delivery Manager within QIC's Global Real Estate Investment Management Division in Melbourne. This opportunity will focus on the achievement of excellence in the investment and delivery of projects with a strategic lens towards implementation, problem solving and project management skills at project level.
As a Project Delivery Manager, you will have responsibility for delivery of defined outcomes for Investment projects within the real estate portfolio by assisting in implementing the strategic direction for the Global Real Estate's portfolio through to detailed development delivery.
As an ideal candidate, you will bring experience working across both commercial and retail projects both on and off-site. As a collaborator, your ability to develop and evolve relationships with stakeholders will influence the delivery of project excellence. You will participate in key development strategies in-conjunction with the Investment General Manager to deliver project outcomes. This opportunity will see you assist in the provision of analysis of systems and processes, including effective cost and time management solutions to allow for development projects to be delivered with success.
The Project Delivery Manager has responsibility to ensure that the investment projects are assessed and delivered in accordance with agreed vision, budget and programmes. It accommodates industry best practice in detailed design, tendering and construction processes that minimises risk and maximises opportunity.
The key accountabilities include:
Support GRE's strategic direction and product development and ensure its application through the project investment & delivery phase;
Assist the Investment General Manager in the development of Victorian asset master plans for each proposed development stage;
Assist the Investment General Manager in accommodating necessary requirements from Leasing, Property Management and the design and delivery teams leading up to and during development delivery;
Assist the Investment General Manager in the delivery of Victorian projects as required;
Writing clear briefs to ensure clear communication, appointment and management of consultants to identify and control risks and to professionally deliver the project;
Monitoring and managing project risks
Manage the development approval process and meet requirements of all statutory authorities
Direct and indirect management of head contractors selected for the Victorian Projects.
Your capabilities include;
Relevant tertiary degree qualifications in Project / Construction management;
Minimum ten years of relevant experience in project delivery;
A full understanding of the property investment and project delivery process;
Advanced understanding of property development issues surrounding major project design, tendering and construction;
Ability to manage team for significant projects and deliver budget and time (alpha) targets;
Project Management skills
A knowledge of regulatory requirements;
Advanced experience in contracts and major negotiations;
Strategic and lateral thinking;
Competent use of I.T. platform (Microsoft projects is desirable)
