We currently have a 6-month full time maximum term opportunity for a SharePoint Developer to join QIC's Operations and Technology team in Brisbane. Reporting to the Apps Dev and Architecture Team Leader, the primary focus for this role is to perform technical leadership and execution of day-to-day processes for BAU development and implementation of QIC SharePoint Projects.

In this career defining role the core focus will include estimation, analysis, technical specification, development and quality control. Working closely with the team leader and Applications and Architecture Manager to define priorities, work lists, resolution of issues, KPI setting and team management. The key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
SharePoint and Business Applications
Provide thought leadership, best practices and principles in SharePoint and Business Applications
Technical solution design by mapping business requirements to technical requirement utilising SharePoint and O365 OOTB features, additional vendor products or customisations
Execute technical tasks, such as migrations to new platforms and installation of new SharePoint environments
Analyse and implement custom SharePoint solutions using the most suitable method
Liaise with key stakeholders to gather requirements, seek clarifications and provide advisory when required
Ensure quality of work developed through testing
In conjunction with other members of the team, identify and manage the risks involved in providing the technology service. Identify emerging and current threats. Develop risk treatment plans.
Engagement with various business units in understanding their need and matching technology solutions and in resolution of their issues.
Documenting, analysing and optimizing all defined Apps Dev and Architecture processes followed by reliable execution.
The ideal candidate
As an ideal candidate for this role, you will demonstrate the ability to respond quickly to change, problem solve, set and achieve goals in a timely, cost effective manner, demonstrate excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills whist maintaining strong client focus and interpersonal skills.
As a strong candidate for this role, you will have:
Degree in Information Technology (or similar) or recognised qualifications in Information Technology is mandatory.
5 or more years in IT roles, specifically in SharePoint and Applications Development
Extensive experience utilising Sharepoint on premise / SharePoint Online to deliver solutions with an advanced knowledge of available SharePoint APIs, with a strong preference to automating tasks
Experience migrating data to and from SharePoint (online/on-premises)
Extensive experience in delivering technology using the Agile approach and within project governance and project frameworks.
High level of skills and experience in the analysis of IT requirements and the design and deployment, testing, implementation, maintenance and support of IT systems.
Capable of a high attention to detail
