Macquarie Investment Management (MIM) offers investment management across a number of asset classes including equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities, infrastructure securities, real estate securities and fund of funds. Macquarie Investment Management Korea (MIMK) is part of Macquarie's global investment management business which, as of 31 May 2015, had $US 371 billion (KRW 408 trillion) in assets under management.
The Chief Operating Officer will support the operational aspects of the Macquarie Investment Management division in Korea, including governance, IT, operations, finance, HR and investor due diligence and investments.
Co-ordinate all key functions of the business to deliver premium administration services. Administratively this includes HR, IT, Finance and Office Admin.
Communicate effectively to key stakeholders including direct reports, as well as client stakeholders
Act as a responsible financial signatory ensuring all sign off requirements are met
Provide oversight and management of the administration entity:
Improve existing policies and processes across the business to ensure best practices - property management, leasing, office admin, records management, aspects of compliance and IT
Oversight of HR processes
Company secretarial and associated compliance
Oversight of a range of external and internal vendors
Finding and driving efficiency gains across the organisation
Responsible for overall management reporting
Reviewing financial reports to track actual revenues and expenses to budget and coordinate the reforecast process
Ensuring risk management policies and procedures are efficiently and comprehensively followed
Managing insurance coverage
Co-ordinating the annual business planning and budgeting process
Analysing financials to identify opportunities to increase profitability
Business Knowledge: Administration, financial, risk management and business experience essential, especially deep knowledge of investment management middle and back office processes,
Project Management Skills: Demonstrated history in project management, highlighting appropriate resourcing needs and managing resources to achieve tight objective timeframes.
Interpersonal Skills: Required to interact with and influence all levels of staff at at levels, build constructive relationships and manage internal and external parties
Client Orientation: Strong customer service ethic, subject to maintaining internal controls.
Results Orientation: Good at communication of progress to key stakeholders as well as achieving timely and effective results

Qualifications & Background:
experience in investment management operations i.e. fund accounting, trade settlement, back office reconciliation processes etc.
financial management experience preferred
CPA/CA/MBA or equivalent preferred
Fluent in English and Korean
