Systematically monitors industry, market and company-level developments in relevant distribution channels across Europe.
Carries out regular analysis at product and client level.
Employs appropriate analytical tools and market research methods to draw out insights.
Prepares, updates and continuously improves regular research briefs, reports and presentations as required. Ensures timely delivery to a variety of audiences across the business, in written form and occasionally through presentations and group discussions.
Contributes to business planning and sales, marketing, and product development strategy by generating and sharing market insights and making recommendations.
Responds to internal market insight queries and serves as subject matter expert. Carries out analysis in response to planned and ad hoc business needs.
Partners with internal stakeholders to understand key business challenges and opportunities in order to maximize the value of market research, data and insight. Ensures relevant decision-makers are informed of emerging trends, competitive threats and strategic opportunities.
Identifies and evaluates primary, secondary and syndicated market research sources.
Five to ten years relevant experience within Market Research and/or Client Insights
Experience in strategy, consulting, analytics or in an intelligence role preferred
Experience within or knowledge of asset management
Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail. Ability to conduct rigorous business and financial analysis
Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies.
Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Tableau); proficiency with fund databases (e.g. Morningstar)
An ability to see the bigger picture; a pragmatic, problem-solving approach that gets to the underlying business questions
A great storyteller; ability to distil complex information into engaging insights and recommendations for audiences who may or may not be analytically-minded
MBA or further study strongly preferred
Broad understanding of the asset management landscape
Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to present to a wide variety of audiences
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
