My client is an industry leading brand and a business with an international footprint with operations across Asia, Australia and New Zealand. They are currently seeking an experienced professional to take the role of General Manager, Corporate Development for an initial term of twelve months. You will lead a dedicated M&A team and work closely with the Executive in all M&A and other related activity.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
A key role in the development and implementation of organisation wide strategic plans
Implementing M&A best practice across the broader M&A and Strategy team
Manage all aspects of M&A transactions from the development of investment cases, interaction with the investment committee, review of financial models and the execution of transactions
Develop pathways and engagement frameworks for M&A targets and potential JV arrangements
Drive commercial initiatives and general projects for the Office of the CEO
The ideal candidate will an experienced M&A, Corporate Development, strategy or Transaction Services professional with a corporate finance/investment banking background coming out from a Big 4 Accounting firm , an investment bank or corporate . Corporate M&A experience from a retail or other customer centric organisation is also highly regarded and will be considered strongly for this role but is more ideal than essential .
Although there is no guarantee of a permanent position after the initial 12-month fixed term contract, your visibility within the company will be high and the experienced gained will make you a highly marketable executive both within the company and the broader corporate community.
