The role is for a member of the Australian Rates Middle Office Trade Control Team. The candidate will provide support to traders with regard to ensuring that all deals are captured in the banks systems correctly and are maintained throughout the life of those deals. The trade control unit is an integral component of the Global trading business within Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and is the first line of defence in combating operational risk.
Provide operational support for the Australian Rates business, including daily control checks and breaks management reporting
Identification and resolution of booking, system and process issues
Work closely with the Risk P&L team, Finance, Quants, Settlements and Global partners
Maintain a strong focus of control
Strong understanding of the Rates products
Strong focus of control
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work effectively on multiple tasks in a demanding environment
Competence in Excel (To Macro level)
Ability to work well within a team environment
Previous experience working in a trade control role or trading business support role
Financial Markets or Commerce related qualifications desirable
