We are seeking a high calibre individual with the versatility to get involved with many aspects of the business. This is a broad ranging role within a growing investment management firm focused on strategies related to the global ABS markets, covering both the finance and some operational/compliance aspects of the business. It is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in a dynamic fund manager with an entrepreneurial mindset. The role will report directly to the COO.
Responsibilities to include:
Ownership of the management company accounts and financial statements;
Monthly internal compliance monitoring and reporting to the board of directors and fund boards;
Management of the fund accounting process, working closely with the fund administrators and auditors and act as day-to-day contact for the audits;
Shadow calculation of the monthly NAV and daily UCITS NAV;
Participating in FX hedging process including monitoring of P&L on a daily basis;
Review management fee and performance fee calculations and billing;
Preparation of budgets and the management of receivables and payables for funds entities;
Prepare and review monthly cash flow, expense and internal/external reports;
Ensure robust controls around cash movements from fund entities;
Develop a keen understanding of current fund structures and the setup of new ones;
Submission of information to our UK and US tax advisors to enable them to prepare the yearly investor tax submissions;
Involved with Due Diligence visits;
Assist with ancillary matters concerning the smooth operation of funds; and
Identify opportunities for procedural improvements ranging from simple process enhancements to larger strategic initiatives.
Accounting qualification (ACA or equivalent);
1-3 years accounting experience at a hedge fund, investment company, fund administrator or similar;
Strong PC skills including excellent Excel;
Good understanding of investment funds industry and experience in UCITS preferred;
Looking for a bright individual who is motivated and has rigorous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy;

Team player who thrives in a fast pasted environment and can juggle priorities effectively.
