Our client, a Private Bank based in Geneva, is lookinf for a Counterparty Credit Analyst
Function / position objectives
Working within a team of credit analysts. Publishing internal credit notes covering Corporates and Financials Institutions for the benefit of the bank's Credit Committee and Treasury department. Very regular contacts with the Risk Office as well as the Treasury and Trading departments. Contacts with Legal department on documentation
Financial statement analysis of Corporates and Financial Institutions
Formulate credit view on long term bond holdings and loans positions
Monitor market news and research / monitor credit portfolio for early market indicators
Actively assist trading desks for flow business: assess counterparty risk, documentation and limit set up for OTC derivatives
Liaise with the Risk Office on credit limit monitoring, country risk etc.
Participate in credit policies and procedures review as well as new projects or activities of the bank as they may arise
Occasional support for lending value analysis for various asset classes (shares, funds etc.)
Master in economics, econometrics or finance
Minimum 5 years of experience in fundamental counterparty credit analysis or research
Knowledge of credit & banking products and their relative documentation (derivatives, bonds, loans etc.)
Strong analytical skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills
Team spirit, commitment, flexibility and adaptability
