Oversee the mechanics of establishing a local presence i.e. premises; interaction with the regulators; staffing etc;
Prepare and implement a business plan to consolidate and develop existing clients, and identify and convert new prospects into sustainable AUM.
Based on experience, they believe that most interest will derive from the UK and Swiss distributors i.e. wealth managers, asset managers, fund of funds, discretionary fund managers, so that is where initial activity will focus. However, over time they will also target un-intermediated institutional clients in the UK and Europe, and start to build profile with the Investment Consultants.
The appointee will be as much 'player' as 'coach' and will need to demonstrate both a record of selling funds to European wholesale clients, and a relevant and current network.
This role will not suit someone who requires the infrastructure of a large organisation around them to be successful, or who benchmarks their success by the size of their team or their corporate grade.
