We are currently seeking an Equity Research Associate to join our Equity Research team in Tokyo, to cover the Autos sector.
You will be involved in generating reports that assist our clients to make investment decisions. You will provide market analysis and financial modelling support to the leading analyst and help manage database information for the team. Assisting with client presentations and briefings, you will also be involved in helping build our client base and revenue over time.
The successful incumbent will:
Have Tertiary degree in economics, history, political science, international relations, etc with coursework in finance/accounting
Strong writing skills (samples of writing will be required).
1-3 years' sell-side equity research experience preferred
Strong quantitative backgrounds (may have credentials such as the CFA, ACA or CPA)
Be highly numerate; preferred completion of CFA Level I.
Be able to proactively build good relationships and enjoy communicating at all levels with sales teams and clients;
Be fluent in spoken and written English and Japanese (native level).
Candidates with automotive industry experience who meet other criteria will also be considered.
