In this newly created role, you will be responsible for leading the compliance testing program for all branches and representative offices within the EMEA region. Reporting to the Global lead in the USA for Compliance Testing, you will be responsible for harmonising the global testing program across EMEA and in conjunction with the APAC and US programs.
The role requires a leader who has the ability to lead in the development of strategic initiatives, scope major programs, foresee outcomes and implement controls in collaboration with business partners in Technology, Legal, Risk, Operations, HR and the wider Compliance functions.
This is a hands-on role that will evolve over the next 12 months into a Strategic Lead position. Hiring and people management will play a significant part in your role as the program grows.
Complete compliance testing reviews of Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering teams in the representative offices across EMEA
Perform quality reviews of the Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering teams' monitoring activities across the region
Skills and Experience
Strong working knowledge of audit principles including sampling methods
Strong experience in a compliance testing role in a bank
Experience with operational risk systems (CRAS+, CICAT, ORR reporting)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of regulatory compliance and/or risk management policies and procedures
Ability to travel 15 - 30% within the EMEA region
Ability to multi-task between multiple and ongoing responsibilities and assignments
Proven ability in exercising independent judgment and applying prudent risk mitigation principles
Ability to meet deliverables in tight timeframes
Flexibility and adaptability
Ability to work independently
Critical thinking and analytical skills
Degree qualified, preferred
Audit related certification (i.e. CIA, CAMS, or similar), preferred
Risk assessment skills, preferred
