Senior Equity Analyst / Equity Research / Buy Side / Asset Management

The Senior Equity Analyst will be passionate about investing in equities and longer term is interested in maintaining a research focus, growing within this role to potentially take the lead with the Equity Research function and team.
You will be primarily responsible for the preparation and presentation of top-level equity research and client facing activities.
The investment philosophy is to conduct bottom up - in-depth, high quality company and industry research. Identifying high quality businesses that make for a sustainable and growing investment opportunity. Awareness of top quality businesses and their margins.
The sector coverage is broad, looking at around 40 stocks at any one time - reporting on equity research formally by means of a written report and in person.
A real opportunity to oversee and guide research projects by other members of the team.
Attend investment committee meetings with active participation.
Adhering to Investment Management and Group Compliance policies and procedures, undertaking appropriate regulatory training.
Assisting in the preparation of marketing material if necessary.
Significant Equity Analysis experience is required, 7 years + from a buy side investment management / asset management firm.
Bottom up equity stock picking approach.
Broad sector coverage.
Previous experience of mentoring team members would be an advantage
Advanced skills in Excel
Detailed working knowledge of Bloomberg and using Bloomberg with Excel.
Good working knowledge of FCA compliance requirements.
Commercially aware and self driven.
Excellent communication skills , both written and spoken.
This role would not suit an individual who longer term has a desire to become a fund manager. The role is suited to a true equity research generalist who is completely passionate about equity research and longer term would like the opportunity to lead a research team.
