You will be supporting existing credit analysts in evaluating new leveraged loan investment opportunities for funds managed by the team and monitoring existing investments.
This role will involve working closely with senior credit analysts, fund managers, and key stakeholders across the business.
Supporting senior credit analysts on the evaluation of new and existing leveraged loan investments including:
Researching information and reviewing due diligence on companies
Financial modelling of companies historic and projected financials
Attending management meetings/presentations
Assisting in the preparation of first and final stage papers for credit committee
Learning about legal documentation
Attendance at credit committee meetings, including for other investments
Monitoring a portfolio of existing investments and providing credit events updates to fund managers and senior credit analysts
Analysis for making purchase/sell recommendations on existing investments to the fund managers
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including, credit analysts, fund managers, investments teams.

High level of proficiency in Excel and excellent financial modelling skills
Ability to interpret and model key financial statements - balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statements

Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work under pressure
Team oriented person and ability to work across different business units
Solid understanding of the world of leveraged finance and private equity
Track record of successful decision making on imperfect information
Knowledge & Experience
Credit analysis experience within Leveraged Finance (origination team at an Investment Bank, Private Debt manager, CLO)
Experience in researching, analysing and evaluating credit investment opportunities (business model, competitive dynamics, industry regulation, past and future performance, quality of a management team)
Demonstrable experience in preparing investment committee credit papers, with a particular focus on the financial model along with downside sensitivities.
Involvement in presenting investment recommendations to relevant internal credit committees
Familiarity with legal documentation / some involvement in the negotiation of credit agreements desirable.
